Rochon was born in Torrance, Los Angeles suburb of Torrance and is the daughter of Zelma who is a nurse practitioner as well as Samuel Staples, a business proprietor and graphic artist. Cerritos was her primary high school. Her graduation was in 1982. In 1986, she graduated in 1986 from California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) in which she obtained a bachelor's in broadcast journalism. Her degree also included minors in sociology and theatre. Rochon has returned to CSUDH in 2016, was the keynote speaker at CSUDH's College of Arts and Humanities graduation ceremonies.

Heather Storm is a network TV host, producer and Travel writer. Being a lover of cars she was also a host for Garage Squad at Discovery MotorTrend Network. Heather was host and the creator of Drive Yourself Local. In this series of digital travel, she takes a 1965 Ford Mustang on a journey across America as she shares small-town life. Heather has appeared on numerous TV and film series, including Nightingale and Epic Movie.

Ullerup was seen as Julia Brynn for the first time on Battlestar Galactica: The Remake in 2006 on the Sci Fi Channel. She performed the role of Ashley Magnus in the first and second seasons of the tv show Sanctuary until her role was cut from the script. She was the subject of controversy among the people who wanted her reprise her role in future episodes. The show was eventually removed in the year 2012. Ullerup played the role of Bree O'Brien on Chesapeake Shores in 2016. Ullerup appeared as Maggie Thomas the estranged husband of Michael Thomas. From 2016, Ullerup has been playing a regular character as Dale Travers in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered films series.
