Kyra M. Sedgwick (born Kyra Minturn) is a famous American actress and television personality. She has a large following throughout America as well as around the globe due to her performance as the leading actress on the TV series 'The Closer.' Sedgwick's love for the arts, Broadway and acting began when she was just 12 years older. Sedgwick first heard about Broadway through her mother. When she was of 16 that Sedgwick got her first acting job professionally in the television series "Another World". Though she initially began with smaller-scale roles on television but it was the idea of becoming a professional actress that attracted her. Her name was spotted in the grand-screen spotlight for the first time in her part as a support actress in the film 'Born On the 4th of July', in which she starred along with Tom Cruise. In the aftermath of the success of that movie, Sedgwick got more roles in films such as "Singles," "Heart & Souls', 'Phenomenon', among others. In the year she turned 22 years old, she married actor Kevin Bacon after working in a TV series called Lemon Sky.
